VARVARA KOZLOVA

In her practice Varvara connects the stories of the Classics, floristic patterns and forms of mythical creatures. She works with graphics and ceramics.

In her ceramic works the artist achieves the watercolor effect and softness of silhouettes using a painting technique - her unpredictability brings a still form to life. Varvara's works, just like ancient botanic atlas' illustrations, makes one meditate on them.

Studied in the Stieglitz Academy, artistic textile program. Studied ceramics working techniques in an Chinese art residence. Lives and works in Saint-Petersburg.
